AI Learning Specialist in Bristol

Bristol Full-Time On-site
B

We are looking for an AI Learning Specialist to help colleagues understand and adopt AI, automation and emerging technologies. Combining AI enablement, digital adoption, learning design and business transformation, you will translate technical concepts into practical, responsible ways of working that improve processes, productivity and client delivery. Working with Learning & Development, Innovation, Technology and teams across the firm, you will help shape how AI is adopted, building the confidence and capabilities people need to use it effectively. This is not a traditional IT or systems training role. You will combine technical curiosity and credibility with strong communication, facilitation and coaching skills to make complex ideas clear, engaging and relevant.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify where AI, automation and emerging technology could add meaningful value to roles, processes and workflows.
  • Explore how colleagues work through discovery conversations, process mapping and hands-on experimentation.
  • Translate technical concepts into practical solutions, guidance and scenario-based learning for non-technical audiences.
  • Design and deliver workshops, digital learning, coaching, toolkits and performance support.
  • Facilitate discussions that help teams explore ideas, redesign workflows and confidently adopt new approaches.
  • Develop and share practical AI use cases, prompts and good practice.
  • Support colleagues to review and apply AI-generated outputs safely and responsibly.
  • Measure engagement and adoption, using insight to improve our learning and AI enablement approach.

You do not need to have performed an identical role before. AI learning and adoption is an evolving area, so we are open-minded about the experience candidates may bring.

You will need a genuine interest in technology and the confidence to develop a strong practical understanding of AI tools, concepts and applications. Your growth mindset, transferable experience, technical curiosity, potential and learning agility are what matters most to us.

You will bring:

  • Practical knowledge of AI and emerging technology, or the curiosity and learning agility to develop this quickly.
  • An understanding of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering or workflow automation, including their strengths and limitations.
  • The ability to understand business processes, identify where technology could add value and translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
  • Experience of learning design, digital adoption, technology enablement or capability building.
  • Experience using AI-enabled or digital workplace tools. Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Harvey or similar platforms would be an advantage.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • An understanding of data quality, privacy, risk and responsible AI use.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with confidence working in a fast-moving area.

At Burges Salmon, we are exploring how new ideas and technology can help our people work more effectively and deliver better outcomes for our clients. At Burges Salmon, you'll have the opportunity to work on some of the firm's most significant and strategically important opportunities, collaborating with talented colleagues in an inclusive and supportive environment where your ideas, expertise and impact will be valued.
