Our Business Development team works directly with the firm's Partners and lawyers to ensure that the strategy is implemented consistently, and our client‑centric approach is at the heart of all business development activity. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support our Technology, Private Wealth and Corporate, Tax, Trust and Family (TTF) departments where priority intersections and opportunities arise. Prior experience in these areas would be an advantage. We welcome candidates who bring strong business development expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams. As a member of the Business Development team, you will also be an integral part of our collaborative marketing department. You will quickly develop an in‑depth knowledge of market and client challenges with the overall goal to provide practical advice and guidance to achieve the most effective and commercially valuable business development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop opportunities for growth, ensuring both current and prospective clients and referrers are aware of the exceptional work that we do.
  • Develop and drive forward plans for strategic clients, targets and referrers.
  • Support with producing sales and marketing collateral such as capability statements, pitches/proposals and web copy.
  • Develop and manage the delivery of sales and marketing plans for the relevant legal teams, including the planning and delivery of targeted campaigns.
  • Keep on top of emerging market trends and define the firm's services and USP to the markets in which you are operating.
  • You will monitor the effectiveness of the plans developed by sectors and departments, working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Your business development expertise will be valued and respected by the lawyers you work with.
  • As a marketing professional, you will instil confidence and trust, and influence senior colleagues using diplomacy and tact.
