Are you an experienced real estate litigation lawyer with strong built environment expertise? Would you like to join a busy and diverse team where you will work on high-quality matters for a broad client base in a close-knit, collaborative environment? Burges Salmon is offering multiple opportunities for Associates/Solicitors with 0-4 years PQE to join our leading team of property litigation lawyers, based in Bristol but advising on clients and property across England & Wales. In this role, you can expect complex and high-value work on behalf of household name national and international clients.

The Real Estate Disputes Team is known for its pragmatic approach and ability to offer alternative real estate dispute resolution methods and solutions to clients. We collaborate with other dispute resolution and non-contentious real estate specialists within the firm to provide the highest quality advice on real estate disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice to clients on risk/asset management at a pre-action stage and advise on the full spectrum of commercial and complex residential property-related disputes, including mediations, arbitrations and contested litigation.
  • Offer real estate disputes advice to commercial property institutions, banks, investment companies and high net worth individuals.
  • Work across the breadth of sectors and legal specialisms within real estate disputes, developing a broader skillset and greater flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Relevant exposure to working on high quality real estate disputes.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex and varied workload effectively.
  • Self‑motivated, willing to learn and able to work autonomously.
  • Must be an SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer.
