Burgermeister is one of Germany's most iconic premium burger concepts - born in Berlin in 2006 and loved across the country for uncompromising quality, speed of service, and an unmistakable brand identity. What started as a small kiosk under a bridge in Kreuzberg has grown into a cult brand with dozens of locations. We are now taking the next step and bringing the Burgermeister experience to the United Kingdom.

As Country Manager UK, you will build Burgermeister’s presence in the country from the ground up. You are responsible for establishing and scaling the business locally - from site selection and lease negotiations to opening stores, building teams, and driving operational excellence. You act as the founder of the market, owning full P&L responsibility and reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead market expansion from first site identification through to store openings and scaling operations
  • Identify and secure prime locations, including lease negotiations and feasibility analysis
  • Build and scale the local organisation (Shift Leaders - Assistant Managers - Store Managers - Area Managers)
  • Own full market performance including P&L and key operational KPIs (Revenue, COGS, Speed, Quality, Waste, Guest Satisfaction)
  • Lead all pre-opening activities including hiring, training, setup, and launch execution
  • Ensure consistent execution of Burgermeister standards across all stores
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Training, and Marketing
  • Ensure compliance with local food safety and occupational health regulations
  • Report directly to senior leadership on performance, risks, and growth opportunities

What You Bring

  • Proven leadership in QSR, fast-casual, or multi-unit F&B operations
  • Track record in market expansion and pre-opening management
  • Strong P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting experience
  • Hands-on entrepreneurial mindset and passion for operational excellence
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Based in the UK or ready to relocate
