The role

Burger King UK is growing fast - really fast. This year alone, we're opening 19 brand new restaurants across the country, with even more on the horizon. Our Drive Thru estate is a huge part of that growth, and we're always on the lookout for brilliant new locations where we can bring flame grilled goodness to even more guests.

As our Acquisitions Manager, you'll play a major role in making that happen. You'll be out in the market identifying, assessing and securing new Drive Thru sites that fit our brand and support our national expansion. Working closely with the Head of Acquisitions, you'll take each site through the full lifecycle - from first conversations and feasibility assessments right through planning, legals, exchange and completion. It's a role with real impact, helping shape the footprint of a major UK QSR brand.

Serving up new Drive Thru opportunities across the UK

You'll guide each potential site through the full acquisitions journey, from early conversations and planning through to legal processes, exchange and completion. You'll make sure everything stacks up, delivers the right return and helps fuel the continued expansion of the brand.

What you'll be doing

You'll bring the BK growth strategy to life by working closely with internal teams and external partners, making sure every new site is the right fit for the brand and the business. This is a field based role covering the Midlands and North East with the expectation you'll be working in the field and traveling across patch to find new locations!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working collaboratively with the Head of Acquisitions, Construction Project Managers and Finance partners to shape and deliver our expansion plans.
  • Building strong relationships with developers, agents, planning consultants and legal advisors to secure new Drive Thru opportunities aligned to our property strategy.
  • Proactively identifying off market opportunities through direct approaches, local knowledge and industry networks.
  • Leading negotiations to secure the best possible commercial terms, ensuring planning, licensing and regulatory requirements are handled smoothly and on time.
  • Assessing the physical and financial viability of sites, preparing clear recommendations for senior leadership reviews.
  • Championing the Burger King brand within the leisure, restaurant and retail property market, growing relationships with landlords, developers and industry contacts.
  • Working closely with internal BK teams across Construction, Operations, Marketing, Finance and People to ensure new openings land on time, on brand and within budget.
  • Staying ahead of market trends, competitor activity and wider property developments to help shape our strategy.
  • Preparing high quality presentations for internal stakeholders, external partners and board level meetings.
  • Providing regular updates at weekly, monthly and periodic meetings to keep all teams aligned.

What you'll bring

You're commercially sharp, confident navigating the property landscape and comfortable managing deals from first lead to final signature. You'll also bring:

  • MRICS (preferred, not essential)
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Strong commercial acumen with the credibility to manage key relationships at all levels
  • A strong network of property contacts across leisure, retail or restaurant sectors
  • A tenacious and energetic approach, with the drive to uncover new opportunities and push projects forward
  • Good awareness of operational needs, customer behaviours and brand considerations
  • Experience managing the full acquisitions process, including negotiation, legal and licensing steps
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload while staying calm under pressure
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to close deals in a fast paced environment

At Burger King UK, we're all about growth - yours as well as ours. If you're commercially focused, ambitious and excited by the challenge of shaping our future restaurant footprint, we'd love to meet you.
