What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver accurate, timely and compliant tax and reporting outputs across the Group.
  • Working closely with the Head of Finance, external advisors and internal stakeholders, you’ll ensure our financial foundations are rock‑solid.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the preparation and submission of all UK corporate tax returns, including computations, disclosures and supporting documentation.
  • Managing VAT, PAYE and other indirect tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
  • Acting as the primary contact for HMRC, managing queries, audits and correspondence.
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Coordinating with external auditors and managing the year‑end audit process.
  • Preparing technical accounting papers and supporting the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Maintaining and improving internal controls across tax and reporting processes.
  • Providing tax advice on business initiatives, new restaurant openings and commercial projects.
  • Supporting cashflow forecasting and tax‑related balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce risk and improve efficiency across the finance function.

This is a role where you’ll need to be organised, detail‑driven and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in corporate tax and statutory reporting, ideally within a multi‑entity or group environment.
  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Solid technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and UK GAAP.
  • Experience managing tax compliance cycles and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Confidence working with auditors, advisors and HMRC.

Most importantly, you bring energy, integrity and the desire to make a meaningful impact in a growing business.

Benefits:

  • Up to 15% annual bonus, based on business profit and personal performance.
  • Private medical insurance for yourself with BUPA.
  • THRIVE at BK - our internal learning platform to put you in control of your development.
