Burford School is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Apprentice who has a passion for Early Years teaching and learning and who is committed to continue to achieve excellent learning outcomes for all children. Our Early Years are filled with opportunities and experiences for all children to provide the “best start in life” delivered by a high-level skilled and experienced team of educators.

The Role:

  • Understand the planning and engagement of age-appropriate activities that promote development across all areas of learning
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Understand the importance of providing individual needs for all children
  • Understanding how to observe and assess children's development and learning
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
  • Work in partnership with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress

  • Undertake a Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification

Burford School and the Marlow Education Trust is fully committed to the DfE guidance on Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education and all candidates for the post will therefore be subject to vetting procedures following Buckinghamshire Council’s guidance and the Trust’s Safer Recruitment Policy. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare:

  • All adult cautions and spent convictions that are not protected (i.e. that are not filtered out) as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020)

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS including the children's barred list check and evidence of the formal qualifications required for the role.
