The firm is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Strategy and Quantitative Analytics team. The Data Analyst will be involved in a wide variety of areas within the Strategy and Quantitative Analytics team, with a particular focus on the development and operation of Burford Capital's Proprietary investment Modeling platform. The role will report to a Senior Vice President and be based in Burford's London Office.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and refinement of Burford’s proprietary investment modeling platform.
- Working with the business-facing team to understand model logic, analytical objectives, and enhancement priorities.
- Drafting functional and technical specifications for new features, platform improvements, and analytical tools.
- Preparing test packets and validation materials to confirm that functionality performs as intended.
- Coordinating with Project Management, Business Architecture, and Technology teams to support effective delivery of software changes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the modeling systems and communicating recommendations to the wider Strategy and Quantitative Analytics team.
- Maintaining documentation of requirements, testing outcomes, platform functionality, and related development decisions.
