We're looking for a Site & Maintenance Technician to join our team in Witham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical maintenance experience who takes pride in keeping buildings, equipment, and operations running safely and efficiently. No two days are the same. From carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs to supporting site improvement projects, you'll play a vital role in minimising downtime and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance across site facilities and equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
  • Performing routine inspections and repairs.
  • Maintaining maintenance records and reports.
  • Supporting small site improvement projects.
  • Carrying out general building maintenance, including:
    • Painting
    • Carpentry
    • Plumbing
    • Basic repair work
  • Opening and closing the site when required.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in general building or facilities maintenance.
  • Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
  • Computer literate.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • Experience using CMMS systems.
  • Heating and plumbing knowledge.
  • HVAC experience.
  • Welding skills.
  • 18th Edition Electrical qualification.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Forklift licence.

Working Pattern

This role operates on a weekly rotating shift pattern:

  • Week 1: 05:15 – 14:00
  • Week 2: 14:00 – 22:30

Occasional Saturday overtime will be required to support production needs and site access requirements.
