In this role, you’ll lead environmental management consultancy projects for high-profile clients, shaping strategies that improve performance and ensure compliance. You’ll work within our Sustainability team to mentor colleagues, manage client relationships, and deliver practical, commercially focused solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver environmental management and sustainability projects from inception to completion
- Manage client relationships and act as trusted advisor on environmental matters
- Provide technical leadership across project teams and ensure deliverable quality
- Interpret environmental legislation and advise on compliance and best practice
- Help organisations develop and implement environmental management systems and strategies
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and support business growth
- Contribute to proposals, tender submissions and business development activities
- Mentor and develop junior consultants
- Keep up to date with emerging legislation, standards, methodologies and market developments
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering environmental management consultancy projects
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation, compliance requirements and sustainability best practice
- Experience managing clients and delivering projects within budget and timescale requirements
- Ability to interpret complex environmental issues and provide practical, commercially focused solutions
- Experience supporting business development activities and proposal preparation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities
- High-quality report writing and presentation skills
- Previous experience with ISO 14001 requirements
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
- Professional membership with a recognised environmental or sustainability institution would be advantageous
