Role Purpose: To support the Credit Manager within the specific Business Line. To take on responsibility for collections, to investigate queries and resolve in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction. To adhere to the escalation process and to keep the debtors down to a minimum.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage your customer accounts to ensure that cash is collected in a timely manner in line with the agreed credit terms.
- Use multiple systems to retrieve data to assist with obtaining payment.
- Keep an up-to-date ledger against each document to confirm the status.
- Manage the assigned debt ledger, keep the age debtors to a minimum by using the escalation process.
- Resolve queries within the 10-day SLA agreement.
- Raise Letter Before Action when required and monitor the 10-day SLA.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Experience within the Credit Management industry, managing Residential accounts.
- Customer focused approach, dealing efficiently and effectively with all internal and external contacts at various levels.
- Collaborative proactive approach, to work with internal stakeholders to improve processes.
- Identify opportunities to process improvements and cost savings.
- Effective communicator, both verbal and written.
- Able to work to deadlines and manage priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of daily duties.
