Bureau Veritas are excited to say that we have an opportunity for a number of Electrical QC Inspectors to work on a prestigious UK Defence project based near Reading, UK. This will be on a 12 Month initial Contract based outside of IR35. The roles are located at a highly secure working site and will require Security Clearance; therefore, successful candidates must be a British Born UK passport holder. This is a Monday-Friday working role based onsite at Reading.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver independent inspection and quality control services at operating sites and vendors relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication and construction.
- Equipment ranging from Class 1 nuclear pressure equipment to items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards and regulations.
- Review of fabrication/manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication/manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation and review of LTQR’s.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Have a good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry.
- Experience and understanding or the ability to learn nuclear and conventional codes and standards relating to Inspection of Electrical equipment on a Nuclear or related high hazard site, to include installation, punch lists, reporting and full NCR process.
- Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements.
- Qualifications: Ideally ONC/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or minimum full apprenticeship and one or more of C.
