Where will you be working? This is a hybrid role, working as part of our digitally connected workforce in a supportive, wellâconnected team. Travel to client sites and meetings as required, with most workload covering North London, Oxford, Midlands and the Southeast, and potentially more northerly travel.
What is Your Role? Provide exceptional CDM and associated consultancy services to Bureau Veritas clients, ensuring effective navigation of CDM and associated regulations throughout design, construction and foreseeable risk phases, mitigating risk, and delivering a highly technical and professional service in line with our business aims and Operating Procedures & QA systems. Demonstrate proven skills in providing Principal Designer, Client Advisor and associated consultancy.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- CDM Principal Designer/Principal Designer Advisor Services: Provide expert advice and support on design and construction projects, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.
- CDM Client Advisor Services: Offer consultancy to help clients fulfill their obligations under CDM regulations.
- Site Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct safety audits and site inspections to ensure compliance and identify potential risks.
- CDM Risk Reviews: Review and assess risk management processes to ensure appropriate mitigation of design, construction and foreseeable risks.
- Associated Health and Safety Services: Provide additional services as required, aligned with competency and project needs.
What does it take to apply? Preferably hold a minimum CertIOSH and/or CMaPs membership or equivalent for a Senior Role, or be working towards this for a Consultant Role. Flexible, selfâorganised workload approach with effective communication skills. Proven skills in providing Principal Designer, Client Advisor and associated construction safety consultancy. Strong, demonstrable knowledge and experience applying construction safety legislation as a CDM Consultant. Strong grounding in construction methodology. Proactive work ethic, balancing time across projects, sharing best practice, and encouraging clients to consider safety intrinsic to any project. Strong IT skills with ability to adapt to inâhouse software packages, manage own projects and time. Ability to lead where required in client relationships, acting as a sellerâdoer. Knowledge of Building Regulations and Fire safety desirable.
