Bureau Veritas are excited to say that we have an opportunity for a number of QC Inspectors to work on a prestigious UK Defence project based near Reading, UK. This will be on a 12 Month initial Contract based outside of IR35.
The roles are located at a highly secure working site and will require Security Clearance and therefore successful candidates must be a British Born UK passport holder.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
- Deliver independent inspection and quality control services at operating sites and vendors relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication and construction.
- Equipment ranging from Class 1 nuclear pressure equipment to items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards and regulations.
- Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP\βs fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation and review of LTQR\βs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Have a good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry.
- Experience and understanding of nuclear and conventional codes and standards relating to pressure equipment and pressure systems including EN13445, EN13480, PD5500, ASME VIII plus associated material. Welding and NDE standards.
- Be able to demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated approach to technical and non-technical work.
Qualifications
- Weld Inspectors shall have a minimum of 5 years experience with the following qualifications CSWIP 3.1/3.2
- PCN Level II Magnetic Particle Inspection or PCN Level II Dye Penetrant Testing
- PCN Level II Radiographic Interpretation
