We’re seeking a dynamic Broker Business Development Manager to drive commercial relationships and growth through strategic engagement with insurance brokers across the UK.
About the Role
Relationships are central to how we operate. As our Broker Business Development Manager, you’ll champion our collaborative broker model, blending sharp commercial insight, outstanding customer service, and a proactive sales mentality. You’ll maintain and grow a portfolio of established broker partnerships while identifying and onboarding new partners. By promoting our innovative digital platforms and value-driven propositions, you’ll help take our broker network to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned to market and business needs
- Manage a panel of strategic broker accounts across the UK
- Drive new business through broker outreach and relationship-building
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) to deliver on commercial objectives
- Lead presentations and support negotiations for new client wins
- Monitor and manage pipeline activity to achieve annual sales targets
- Support marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives to generate leads
- Stay up to date on local markets, competitor trends, and evolving broker needs
- Negotiate terms and conditions to ensure Bureau Veritas is protected in all commercial agreements
- Understand and shape client needs through Teams or face-to-face meetings, presenting tailored Bureau Veritas solutions
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, measured through NPS scores
- Use the CRM system to track all sales activity, create opportunities, manage pipeline with close dates and probability factors
- Complete AD50s for all opportunities to ensure proposed contracts meet required profit margins for Business Units
- Provide monthly and quarterly sales forecasts to support Business Unit workload planning
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to strengthen Sales & Operations relationships — including Engineers, Surveyors, Inspectors, and RDMs
