The Quality, Process, and Integration Lead sits within the Bureau's Services Development and Integration (SDI) section, part of the Community Services Group (CSG), and serves as the Team Lead of the Operations Support Team (OST). The SDI Teams provide operations support services for the entire CSG, including rostering, resource coordination, quality management, process management, integration with other bureau areas, and project delivery.
The Team Lead will manage a multidisciplinary team of specialists responsible for quality management, performance management, lessons management, and integration support functions across critical service delivery areas in CSG. This enables weather and warning services to be delivered efficiently and effectively to the Australian community and other customers, while being continuously benchmarked and improved over time. The role reports to the Manager, Services Development and Integration, and collaborates with this manager to oversee and coordinate activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of specialists providing quality management, performance management, lessons management, and integration support across CSG critical service delivery areas.
- Oversee operations support services, including rostering, resource coordination, quality and process management, integration with other bureau areas, and project delivery.
- Continuously benchmark and improve weather and warning services for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Services Development and Integration to coordinate activities and achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of operational service delivery environments, particularly in scientific or environmental services organizations.
- Track record of embedding transformation outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives in scientific or highly technical organizations.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead geographically distributed multidisciplinary teams in dynamic, customer‑centric environments.
- Success in developing high‑performing teams and working collaboratively with peers.
- Ability to articulate complex business needs and deliver relevant, high‑value products and services to Bureau customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Positive contribution to the overall leadership of the Community Services Group, supporting the Manager, Services Development and Integration, and the CSG Leadership Team.
