Head of Services
Head of Services, based at our site in Bicester, Oxfordshire, reports to the Managing Director, North West Europe.
The role is responsible for overall performance of the UK legal entity, including revenue, profitability, operational excellence, customer satisfaction and people leadership.
The head will work collaboratively with global stakeholders to synchronize operational strategies with broader business objectives and provide local operational oversight across Service Center, Field Service, Supply Chain, Sales and QEOHS functions while providing matrix leadership of Finance and HR to achieve business objectives and accelerate growth.
- Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute a localized services strategy aligned with global and regional business objectives and mid‑range plans.
- Drive sustainable year‑over‑year revenue and EBIT growth through market expansion, customer acquisition, service innovation, and operational effectiveness.
- Identify new business opportunities across customers, applications, products and geographic markets.
- Build and strengthen strategic customer relationships while gathering market intelligence to inform business decisions.
- Operational Excellence
- Lead service centre and field service operations to ensure safe, efficient and profitable execution of all activities.
- Deliver high standards of product quality, on‑time delivery, process compliance and cost control.
- Establish, monitor and continuously improve key performance indicators that drive operational efficiency, workforce optimisation and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with Supply Chain to optimise inventory management, procurement activities and supplier performance.

- Maintain full accountability for top‑line growth, cost management and profitability.
- Continuously assess and improve financial performance through disciplined planning, forecasting and resource allocation.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field (desirable).
- Demonstrable relevant experience in similar industries, markets and roles, including significant exposure in operations management and commercial leadership roles.
- Strong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
- Profound understanding of P&L performance management.
- Proven track record of implementing lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
- High degree of self‑motivation and strong ability to build and lead high‑performing teams.
- Customer focused, strategic thinking, team worker and result oriented.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to adapt the message and communication style to the audience.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and experience in project management.
- Willingness to travel, nationally and internationally.
- Advanced SAP knowledge and experience is advantageous.
