Burch Recruitment is supporting a rapidly expanding 3PL client operating across multiple locations throughout the UK. The business delivers end-to-end logistics solutions and is growing at pace. This role will be predominantly focused on recruiting drivers from Class 1 HGV drivers through to van drivers, and everything in between within a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will understand the importance of hiring the right people, at the right time, while maintaining full compliance at every stage of the recruitment process. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the internal recruitment function and make a real, measurable impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating closely with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs
- Creating clear, compliant, and engaging job adverts for open roles
- Advertising vacancies across careers pages, job boards, and social platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Proactively sourcing candidates via online channels, professional networks, and databases
- Screening CVs and applications and keeping candidates informed throughout the hiring process
- Conducting interviews at multiple stages, including telephone, first-round, and second-round interviews
- Ensuring full compliance across all recruitment checks, including:
- Right to Work checks
- DVLA licence checks
- Background and driver vetting checks
About You
- Proven experience as an Internal Recruiter, Recruiter, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruitment
- Experience recruiting within logistics, driving, warehouse, or operational environments (desirable)
- Confidence using multiple interview formats (telephone, structured, group interviews)
- Experience organising or supporting assessment centres (e.g. job simulations, work samples, psychometric testing)
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and CV databases
- A solid understanding of UK labour legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously
