Job Purpose

As Trade Compliance Operations and Systems Manager, you will support the delivery of the Trade Compliance Strategy and ensure daily compliance with cross-border requirements. This includes managing operational shipments, maintaining AEO standards, and overseeing our customs warehouse in Italy.

You will also work on multiple projects, bridging business needs with technical solutions in technology and reporting, collaborating with business experts and technology teams to implement effective solutions for evolving business models.

Responsibilities

EMEIA Operations

• Lead the EMEIA Trade Compliance team operationally, ensuring all import/export transactions comply with relevant customs regulations. This involves providing clearance instructions to third-party brokers and forwarders, supporting business inquiries, facilitating non-stock shipments, and offering guidance on customs issues.
• Partner with logistics, product development, finance, warehouse operations, and brokerage teams to facilitate compliant cross-border trade and support initiatives like photoshoots and runway shows.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to enable data-driven decisions and audit high-risk customs entries.
• Manage special trade programs, including the customs warehouse, and ensure compliance with AEO standards.
• Manage third-party brokers and freight forwarders to ensure compliant customs declarations.
• Provide expertise on Export Controls.
• Support audits and respond to customs authorities’ queries.
• Monitor and translate regulatory changes into operational procedures.
• Assist and cover for the Senior Manager as needed.
• Manage 2+ direct reports, supporting their development and performance.

System and Data Management

• Serve as a super user for the Global Trade Management System, supporting the bonded warehouse operations and managing system issues.
• Handle stock adjustments and reconciliations within the system.
• Provide expertise on system infrastructure projects, communicating requirements and collaborating on solutions.
• Visualize process changes with stakeholders and support user acceptance testing and training.
