JOB PURPOSE
Burberry is looking for an experienced Senior Social Media Manager to join the Marketing team. You will be a pivotal leader of the wider Social Media team with proven track record of exceptional knowledge and understanding of the Social Media landscape β including content ideation & optimisation, publishing algorithms, building and engaging communities, social listening & reporting, planning & execution of socially-led campaigns, collaboration, understanding of the latest technologies impacting key global platforms to deliver proven results. You will manage the day-to-day implementation of our channel strategies, with a focus on emboldening our defined Social KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead day-to-day social platform management, working collaboratively to deliver best-in-class strategies; manage and develop the organic social team, build strong matrix team relationships, and support the Social Media Director on brand and business social strategy and implementation.
- Oversee all elements of briefing, ensuring content is fit for purpose and aligned to channel requirements driving a flawless execution to deliver broader team and functional goals.
- Partner closely with the Senior PM to ensure timely project delivery while nurturing and leading the relationship with the brand creative team alongside the Social AD to develop big, cut-through ideas for innovative social-first campaigns.
- Alongside the team, build world-class, insight-led social campaigns that drive reach and engagement, support reporting and KPI effectiveness, and oversee content planning, delivery, execution, and community engagement to ensure best practices and flawless execution.
- Drive and support APAC teams in executing global/regional strategies and content localisation.
- Work with a broad range of social tools to deliver and analyse campaigns, while building deep relationships with social platforms to identify new opportunities and develop innovative activations ahead of competitors.
- Work closely and collaboratively across the social media and wider marketing teams, including Digital teams, VIP, PR, events and content teams to champion social-first ideas and execute activations, events and strategies.
- Manage our external agency relationships, ensuring they are fit for purpose, reviewed regularly and renewals or transitions are timely executed without disrupting business needs.
- Insatiable appetite to hit targets by monitoring performance, recommending improvements, and finding new ways to engage customers and drive awareness, conversation, and affinity to Burberry.
- Track spend against social budgets, working with Production to ensure projects are in line with forecasts.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Extensive experience growing and managing social brand channels at scale with expert knowledge of all Western & Eastern social media platforms.
- A strategic and analytical thinker who interprets data into actionable insights, combined with a creative thinker who generates original, highly shareable social ideas and an innate understanding of Social First content.
- Understanding of the Paid Social Media landscape, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm.
- Highly organised, managing multiple campaigns/projects, with natural communication skills to confidently create and present social campaigns and manage key stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret, prioritise, and deliver actions with sharp attention to detail, working under pressure in fast-paced environments, with experience in fashion and culture and degree-level education.
