Burberry is looking for a talented Senior Planning Analyst. This position operates within the Global Merchandise Planning Operations team, supporting the team in core responsibilities across planning & reporting. In this role you will be accountable for delivering on the reporting centre of excellence goals and will also support the Collection OTB process.
Overview
The Senior Planning Analyst is responsible for driving reporting excellence and supporting OTB planning activities through data preparation, reporting, and analytical support across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Reconciliations of Global reporting, ensuring that reports are distributed to the business in a timely fashion.
- Work with IT to deliver reporting centre of excellence goals, including self-service reporting and any new or amended report requirements.
- Assist on ad-hoc analyses including the quarterly Investor Relations trade commentary, Monthly KPI reporting and CEO board letters.
- Support the Collection OTB process, including creating OTB planning templates, preparing historical data, and consolidating submissions.
- Supervise and support the Planning Assistant in day-to-day activities.
Reporting Centre of Excellence
- Reconciling Global Reporting to ensure accurate and timely reports to the business.
- Support Product, Finance & Strategy with the creation of weekly Trade Reporting covering Collection Trading, Competitive Reporting & Trend Reporting.
- Assist the Merchandise Planning Operations Senior Manager in developing/enhancing reports and conducting user acceptance testing of these reports.
- Work with the Merchandise Planning Operations Senior Manager and project team on delivering self-service reporting.
- Develop systems expertise and build a close partnership with IT and the wider business to continue the Merchandise Planning Operations Centre of Excellence for BW, Excel & commercial reporting.
Ad-hoc Analyses
- Analyze ad-hoc data and reports, add commercial insights, and link across departments.
- Compile quarterly Investor Relations trade commentary and CEO board letter statistics.
Collection OTB
- Support the Collection OTB process as required, including building and maintaining Excel planning templates, creating summaries & dashboards, and performing ad-hoc analyses to highlight key risks & opportunities for the company.
- Work with Regional Planning & Divisional Planning to drive continual improvement and development of tools, reporting, and processes.
- Own consolidation and reconciliation of large amounts of data for subsequent analysis and insights. Advanced Excel knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills
- Highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented with a passion for the Brand.
- A flexible attitude, willing and able to manage multiple and potentially competing priorities.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Experience with SAP / Business Warehouse / Business Objects would be advantageous.
