Through strong cross‑functional partnership, you will help anticipate risk early and enable confident, on‑time product execution across multiple categories. This is a highly visible role where operational rigour directly supports Burberry’s commitment to quality, craft and performance.

About Operational Excellence

Operational Excellence acts as a central operational enablement function across the product lifecycle, driving visibility, governance, process alignment, and operational readiness across cross‑functional teams. The team works closely with Product Development, Raw Material Procurement, Sourcing, Industrialisation, and Planning teams to improve operational clarity, reduce execution risk, and support scalable ways of working across categories. The environment is highly collaborative, fast‑paced, and cross‑functional, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their operational expertise and grow into wider product operations leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Production Readiness & Operational Visibility: Maintain clear visibility across fabric and trim readiness, tracking bookings, stock, testing status and delivery milestones. Support production call‑off and floorset readiness by aligning material availability with agreed timelines.
  • Operational Coordination & Governance: Partner closely with Raw Material Procurement, Sourcing, Industrialisation and Product Operations to ensure alignment across key milestones. Support governance activities including leather testing, cut‑to‑clear processes, pre‑buy readiness and material commitments.
  • Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and escalate material risks, shortages or delays with clear insight and recommendations. Contribute to improving operational processes, reporting and governance to strengthen execution across the product lifecycle.
  • Team Support: Provide operational guidance and support to junior operational resources within the team. Contribute to building a strong operational culture focused on visibility, accountability, and execution excellence.

Personal Profile

  • Experience working in raw materials, product operations, sourcing or supply chain within a product‑led environment.
  • A strong understanding of fabric and trim development, procurement flows, testing and production readiness.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams with accuracy and calm focus.
  • Analytical and confident working with operational data to inform decisions and highlight risk.
  • Clear, collaborative communicator who builds trust across cross‑functional teams.
