The Sourcing Coordinator manages the seasonal placement and follow-through of finished goods for a particular category, in a manner congruent with the supply chain objectives: delivering quality product, on time and at the right price.
Responsibilities:
- Advise vendors on seasonal calendars, unit plans, and negotiate minimums; manage buying and delivery deadlines to meet Time & Action calendar.
- Oversee raw material bookings, seasonal order book handover, and purchase orders; ensure production needs and delivery schedules are met.
- Maintain PLM updates for vendor costs and BOM information; liaise with product development, technical teams, and quality assurance to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with Customer Operations and cross-functional teams on order timing; monitor pre-buy vs. actual, address shortfalls, and prepare weekly production updates.
- Analyze seasonal pricing and margins, finalize costs with manager, and participate in vendor performance reviews; communicate best practices and seasonal updates to vendors.
- Ensure standard processes across sourcing teams; manage workload prioritization, counter-sourcing needs, and train/develop Sourcing Assistant as required.
Personal Profile:
- Proven experience in production/manufacturing management; strong costing, negotiation, and retail math skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP/PLM knowledge desirable.
- Excellent communication, time management, and relationship-building skills; detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-through.
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative; able to lead or work within a team.
- Italian language preferred; willingness to travel as needed.
