We are looking for a Social Art Director, Beauty to lead the creative development of social first content across Burberry Beauty channels. This is a senior creative role for someone deeply embedded in the global beauty landscape, with an exceptional eye for craft, culture, and platform native storytelling. You will shape and evolve Burberry Beauty's social visual language, ensuring it is elevated, distinctive, and culturally relevant, while staying true to the house's creative direction. Working closely with social, marketing, product, and production teams, you will translate beauty strategy into compelling content that drives engagement, desirability, and brand relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative direction of social first beauty content across platforms
- Bring a strong point of view on beauty trends, aesthetics, and storytelling formats
- Concept and execute innovative, platform native ideas, from tutorials and creator led content to product storytelling and visual experimentation
- Act as Art Director on set for beauty shoots, ensuring excellence in lighting, texture, colour, and product representation
- Capture iPhone self shot content where required, with strong understanding of TikTok and short form video language
- Develop and evolve Burberry Beauty's social visual identity, ensuring consistency with wider brand campaigns
- Collaborate with Beauty Art Directors and Design teams to extend campaign and launch creative into social
- Manage creative relationships with agencies, creators, photographers, stylists, and collaborators
- Translate briefs into compelling visual narratives using mood boards, references, and treatments
- Ensure content is optimized for platform formats, pacing, and storytelling
- Manage multiple streams of work, providing visibility on timelines, progress, and risks
- Use performance insights to inform and evolve creative output
- Mentor and guide junior creatives where appropriate
Person Profile
- Proven experience as an Art Director, with a strong focus on beauty, luxury experience preferred
- Deep understanding of the global beauty industry, creators, competitors, and cultural movements
- A standout portfolio showcasing beauty led social content across image and video
- Strong expertise in art directing beauty shoots with exceptional attention to skin, texture, and detail
- In depth knowledge of social platforms and content performance
- Experience working with beauty creators and influencers
- Ability to translate brand strategy into culturally relevant visual storytelling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident working with senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills in a fast paced, multi project environment
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and video editing tools
- Degree in a creative discipline or equivalent experience
