JOB PURPOSEBurberry is looking for a talented Product Developer to play a pivotal role in bringing exceptional products to life, partnering closely with Design, Engineering and external manufacturing partners throughout the development journey.As a key member of the Product Development team, you will manage the end-to-end product development process within your category, ensuring products are delivered to the highest standards of quality, functionality and craftsmanship. Combining technical expertise with creative problem-solving, you will help translate design vision into commercially successful products while balancing innovation, customer expectations and business objectives.RESPONSIBILITIESPartner closely with Design teams to transform creative concepts into innovative, commercially viable products while preserving the intended design vision.Build strong relationships with vendors, leveraging technical expertise and collaboration to achieve quality, cost and delivery objectives.Manage the product development critical path from concept through to pre-production, identifying risks early and driving effective solutions.Deliver prototypes and samples on time, within cost parameters and to the required quality standards.Collaborate with Product Engineering teams to ensure products meet relevant testing, functionality and performance requirements.Maintain accurate product information within PLM systems and support production readiness through effective communication and follow-through with stakeholders.PERSONAL PROFILEStrong product development experience with a solid understanding of garment construction, manufacturing processes and product craftsmanship.Proven ability to collaborate with Design teams, interpreting creative concepts and translating them into successful products.Experience managing vendor partnerships and building effective relationships across global supply networks.Strong critical path management skills with the ability to prioritise, identify risks and deliver against key deadlines.Commercially aware, with an understanding of product cost, margin considerations and decision-making throughout development.Clear communicator who can influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships across cross-functional teams.MEASURES OF SUCCESSFOOTERBurberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
