This position will support all Global Rolling OTB activities within Burberry’s Merchandise Planning & Inventory organisation. They will embody the Burberry values and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration. This role will be responsible for:

  • Communicating and ensuring adherence to the commercial principles relating to Global Inventory management, with strong management and assessment of inventory holding by Channel
  • Supporting the Global Rolling Open to Buy Management of the Global Delist and assessing risk in end of season inventory
  • Optimising Global inventory by coordinating global stock rebalances and highlighting opportunities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Global OTB Management
    • Responsible for consolidation of the Global Rolling OTB for all Channels (FP Stores, Digital, Outlet, Wholesale)
    • Responsible for preparing insightful analyses on Channel performance relative to plan and identifying risks to inventory targets
    • Alongside Manager, working with group finance to set annual Margin sales target
    • Responsible for preparing insightful analyses on Margin performance relative to target and tracking adherence by product divisions
  • Option Consolidation & Tracking
    • Assessment of Option Plans into OTB, to assess Revenue per Option and productivity of assortments
  • Global Rebalance
    • Responsible for co-ordinating global stock rebalances; rebalance template management and publishing overviews to the wider business of stock moves
    • Highlighting rebalance opportunities for maximising stock productivity, to improve Global sell through and weeks of cover
  • Global Delist
    • Responsible for maintaining the Global Delist files which provides an accurate view of product lifecycle for all mainline products and their exit route
    • Working with Retail and Collection Merchandising to propose and agree global exit route strategy with the aim to maximize clearing of inventory whilst balancing the need to protect full price sales and brand

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Demonstrated experience in a planning or analytical role, preparing commercial analyses, supporting global Open to Buy management
  • Experience within a similar role from a retail background
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Highly analytical, organised, and detail oriented
  • Driven and Ambitious, with aptitude to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fast study / quick learner
  • High results orientation
  • Problem solver, with an ability to drive results despite ambiguity and obstacles
  • Flexible, willing, and able to manage multiple and potentially competing priorities
