JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking an experienced and commercially sharp Merchandiser to join our Kidswear team (on a 9 month FTC) to own and drive one of our key product categories end-to-end.
This is a high-impact role at the heart of our product engine, responsible for leading the full merchandising lifecycle—from initial brief through to market launch and final exit.
You will play a critical part in shaping our strategy, collaborating closely with Design, Sourcing, Product Development, and Planning to deliver exceptional product that resonates with our customers globally.
This role also carries leadership responsibility, managing and developing an Assistant Merchandiser to support the category’s continued growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and drive Product category, managing full lifecycle of product from brief to delist. / exit.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager / Merchandising team in developing the strategic plan for the Product category and
- influence cross-functional team to deliver strategic direction for the category.
- Develop and present the range plan for approval including pricing strategy, COO and competition strategy.
- Develop relationships with cross functional peers across Sourcing, Design, Product Development and Planning.
- Create effective working relationships with Regional Merchandising team to gain product feedback and market research.
- Deliver collection presentations with confidence and work closely with a wide range of teams and levels
- Organise and coordinate collection notes and buying guides.
- Analyse and feedback on seasonal buys in a strategic and coherent recap
- Accountable for the sample budgets for the category, and ensure the tracking, maintaining and ordering of the Samples are managed effectively.
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Support in prioritising day to day activities and meeting deadlines accordingly
- Run and analyse daily/weekly sales reports and propose appropriate action to take
- Manage accuracy of seasonal market documents / tools including PLM data entry and prepare reports using excel for Merchandising team.
- Be aware of the competitive market and conduct competitive analysis including pricing analysis
- Partner with the Corporate Pricing team to understand price-bands across the three core currencies and report back findings to the Merchandising team; maintain data to support the price structure in PLM
- Coordinate and support all administration duties relating to market / product training for the Merchandising team.
- Deliver any ad hoc administration and assistant duties to ensure smooth running of the team.

- A strong love for product and awareness of the market, especially in RTW & Accessories
- Strong market awareness and heightened product sensitivity.
- Commercial thinker with exceptional analytical ability and sound judgement.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data at pace.
- Highly proactive, accountable, and action-oriented.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Collaborative, organised, and able to operate with clarity in a fast-moving environment.
