In this role you will support end to end process from Proto fittings to delivery for Knitwear products across Womenswear and Menswear.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Support end to end process from sketch launch to delivery in terms of construction knowledge, quality, fit and garment construction.
- Construction development testing.
- Measuring garments and entering fit comments and technical specifications into the PLM system.
- Communicating continuously with vendors.
- Identify opportunities for cost engineering improvement.
- Fit garments on models / mannequins and assess the required alterations.
- Assess the fit, construction, quality and performance of garments.
- Assess and manage the risk, and functionality of garments.
- Conduct any required product testing with the laboratories.
- Manage the tracking of the garment samples.
- Attend meetings and work cross-functionally with teams such as design, product development and sourcing.
- Management of blocks and construction / quality standard manuals.
- Understanding of quality attributes at luxury level.
- Educated to degree level with minimum 3 years of industry experience within a Product Technologist role.
- Experience within a luxury brand is ideal.
- Strong understanding of Knitwear garment construction.
- Knowledge of yarns.
- Womenswear focused with a knowledge of pattern cutting and grading.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple audiences at all levels of the organisation.
- Organised, self-motivated, attention to detail is crucial.
- Good literacy and strong communication skills.
- IT skills – Flex PLM, Word, Excel, Outlook.
