This position will lead, inspire and take accountability for the Reporting centre of excellence within the Merchandise Operations department of Global Planning alongside managing key Seasonal OTB Framework processes. They will lead by example, acting as an ambassador for Burberry, fostering a culture of simplification, innovation and collaboration and driving excellence.
They will be accountable for:
- Creating and maintaining a Reporting centre of excellence including its supporting Data integrity to meet the needs of the business.
- Managing the Framework Open to Buy process and meeting charters, with responsibility for setting parameters for completion and critical path.
Responsibilities
- Reporting Centre of Excellence
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a center of excellence on uniform In-season & Market reporting, across Categories, Regions & Seasons.
- Developing systems expertise & close partnership with IT & the wider business to continue Merchandise Planning Operation's evolving centre of excellence for commercial reporting and support future evolution of Burberry's Data Visualisation strategy.
- Responsible for continued development of offline Inseason & Market Reporting to provide commercial insights ensuring direct link to our Key Business Strategies, translating complex analysis into simple, compelling narratives.
- Accountable for the mapping out Reporting Calendar to ensure all reporting is timed to maximise availability of insights at key moments throughout the year.
- Global Open to Buy Framework
- Managing the provision of tools/templates and historical data, on a consistent basis for all regions and divisions to plan from.
- Accountable for the critical path and inputs to regional planning teams on the development of the Collection Open to Buy Framework.
- Managing the consolidation of the Regional Open to Buy Framework into global view.
- Team Leadership
- Manage Direct Report, communicating strategic objectives for the function and providing day to day direction, decisions, problem solving and guidance.
Personal Profile
- Strong background in Retail Performance reporting, with experience in creating and standardising business reporting frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Retail Reporting & Planning systems and associated Data structures.
- Dynamic and collaborative style, able to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams and translate strategic direction into day to day direction within the department.
- Solid decision-making capability driven by developing strategic product and business initiatives.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated experience managing a planning team in a fast paced commercial, luxury environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Advanced experience with Excel is required, experience with SAP would be advantageous.
