We are hiring an RTR Accountant to join Burberry Business Services, supporting the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality month-end and balance sheet outcomes that underpin confident decision-making across Burberry. You will work at the intersection of precision, collaboration and continuous improvement within a global luxury business. Based in Leeds, this is an opportunity to build strong technical foundations while contributing to a modern finance function.
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll and provisions.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, resolving reconciling items with clarity and pace.
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting, providing clear analysis of movements.
- Produce RTR reporting to meet internal and external requirements.
- Respond to ad-hoc queries with well-considered analysis, prioritising effectively during close cycles.
- Identify and support improvements to processes, controls and documentation in partnership with Finance and BBS colleagues.
Personal Profile
- Part-qualified accountant, studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or willingness to begin studies.
- Sound understanding of month-end close and balance sheet accounting principles.
- Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting audit processes.
- Confident working with data in Excel, with the ability to explain movements clearly.
- Comfortable operating in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
- Curious, detail-focused and motivated to develop technical knowledge and ownership.
