We are hiring a Manager, Statutory Accounting to play a key role in the timely delivery and governance of Burberry's global statutory accounts. Working closely with senior stakeholders, this role ensures accuracy, consistency and confidence in our statutory reporting across multiple territories. You will combine strong technical judgement with a collaborative approach, helping to strengthen processes and support audit delivery at pace. This role offers broad exposure across Burberry's finance community and the opportunity to make a visible impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end‑to‑end coordination, review and submission of statutory accounts across the Burberry group.
- Manage audit activity and relationships with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
- Partner with internal teams including Tax, Payroll, Company Secretariat and IT to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
- Review statutory accounting outputs, identifying risks, themes and opportunities for improvement.
- Support and guide team members through prioritisation, technical queries and delivery standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in statutory accounting processes, documentation and controls.
Personal Profile:
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or CIMA) with strong statutory accounting experience.
- Background in audit or professional services, with experience managing or supporting statutory audits.
- Confident working across IFRS and local GAAP, ideally in a multi‑entity or multi‑territory environment.
- Comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders, translating technical detail into clear outcomes.
- Organised and resilient, able to manage multiple deadlines without compromising quality.
- Curious and improvement‑focused, with an interest in strengthening processes and ways of working.
