Overview
In this role you will coordinate production planning and material availability at Burberry's Castleford site, ensuring on-time delivery of customer demand. You will work with Production, Cutting Room, CAD, Procurement and Planning to maintain accurate schedules and anticipate supply risks. You will monitor capacity, shortages and recovery plans, escalating risks to keep delivery performance on track. This role supports cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to Burberry's precision, collaboration and sustainable luxury craft.
Responsibilities
- Release production orders to the factory floor in line with production requirements.
- Maintain accurate production schedules and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Support production planning activities, including line planning and optimization of new orders.
- Update planning tools to reflect changing demand.
- Liaise with Cutting Room, CAD and Production teams to ensure priorities are understood and achieved.
- Monitor capacity and workload, escalating delivery risks.
- Monitor raw material availability and identify shortages impacting production.
- Collaborate with Raw Material Coordinators to resolve supply issues and minimise disruption.
- Track shortages and recovery plans, providing timely stakeholder updates.
- Monitor open orders and follow up on production completion and outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate planning data and support reporting activities.
- Provide cover for team members during absences and peak periods.
- Support quality-related processes and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of planning, production and procurement information.
- Provide cross-functional support across Bespoke, Sampling, Procurement and Product Administration when required.
- Raise purchase orders and support procurement administration as needed.
- Respond professionally to internal customer queries and operational requests.
- Support projects, seasonal peaks and continuous improvement across the department.
Key requirements
- Experience in planning, administration, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing support or a related operational environment.
- A relevant degree or technical qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with multi-priority management.
- Analytical and practical problem-solving approach with risk awareness.
- Clear, collaborative communication and ability to build cross-team relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; SAP or another ERP system knowledge welcomed but not essential.
