JOB PURPOSE

The Planning Administrator role is essential in orchestrating the seamless integration of planning, procurement, and production operations.

This role provides critical support by managing scheduling, maintaining materials flow, and liaising proactively with various internal departments, ensuring production continuity and efficiency.

It directly contributes to meeting production targets on time with quality assurance, by expertly handling operational and administrative tasks that underpin the manufacturing process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate daily production activities to ensure orders are issued accurately and on schedule, aligning with strategic output goals and quality standards.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration by engaging with Cutting Room and CAD teams, prioritising tasks and adapting schedules based on real-time production demands.
  • Manage workload capacities and flag potential scheduling conflicts promptly to avoid production delays and maintain operational flow.
  • Maintain transparency of production timelines by consistently updating schedules and disseminating pertinent information to relevant teams.
  • Administer materials oversight through early identification of shortages, investigating root causes, and coordinating with suppliers and internal units to resolve supply chain issues efficiently.
  • Support reporting and analytics efforts by developing comprehensive dashboards and reports that track planning and procurement metrics, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee quality control procedures by assisting with quality failure documentation and data management practices that promote product excellence.
  • Assist procurement functions through administrative tasks such as purchase order processing within SAP and maintaining supplier communication channels to support timely resource availability.
