Job Purpose

Burberry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Operative to join our team in the Blyth Centre. In this position, you will be multi-skilled in all aspects of the Quality team, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end process. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet Burberry\\\’s high standards, contributing to the overall efficiency and excellence of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) inspections across all product categories within the hub, including apparel, leather goods, footwear, and accessories.
  • Perform AQL inspections at UK-based vendor facilities prior to shipments arriving at the hub.
  • Carry out personalisation services for digital orders, including:
  • Leather embossing
  • Fragrance engraving
  • Embroidery
  • Inspect and assess returned items from stores, identifying damage and determining next steps.
  • Undertake repair and recovery of damaged items to maintain product quality and extend lifecycle.
  • Deliver aftercare services, including the repair and refresh of products for clients and employees.
  • Assist the Inventory Controller with stock management activities:
  • Picking and putting away stock
  • Stock reconciliation and organisation
  • Support the Team Leader with data entry and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate with the wider Quality team in London, contributing to SOFTs engineering product sign-off processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse or production environments, with repair/recovery skills and SAP knowledge desirable but not essential
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based setting
  • Computer literate with strong communication skills
  • Confident operating machinery and handling product personalisation tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and Health & Safety
