JOB PURPOSE
As the Analyst for Global Compensation you will be responsible for supporting Burberry’s compensation approach within the broader reward strategy. Your role will support activities across a broad range of compensation elements, including base pay benchmarking, bonus and variable pay programme development and management (including retail variable pay plans), job evaluation, pay transparency support, salary range development, and external benchmarking.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in the design, implementation, and communication of competitive global compensation programmes aligned with business strategy and local market practices
- Supporting the annual reward review process through data analysis, reporting for HR Business Partners and in preparation of communications materials
- Maintaining, refreshing and enhancing compensation data systems and tools including job codes to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities
- Carrying out job evaluations and partnering with HR and the business to improve transparency into our grading structure
- Monitoring global compensation trends and best practices, recommending adjustments to keep programs competitive and aligned with organisational goals
- Supporting our global approach to pay transparency, advising on communication frameworks, governance, and compliance across regions
- Supporting our approach to market benchmarking to ensure global compensation survey data allows us to assess market competitiveness and to ensure that we adopt the best approach to the provision of market data
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Proactive and excited at the prospect of solving problems in a state of business transformation
- Compensation or broader reward experience
- Experience in managing bonus and incentive pay programmes
- Knowledge of compensation benchmarking tools and job evaluation methodologies (e.g. Radford, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson)
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations and process improvements
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
- Proven experience of adopting a mindset of continuous improvement to make current ways of working more efficient and effective
