As a Lead Technical Architect, you will be responsible for defining, owning and communicating the technology strategy and roadmaps for Network Security across our global enterprise. This role is critical in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data, while proactively defending against evolving cyber threats. This role requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills combined with technical experience and expertise to ensure that technology strategies support the realisation of organisational goals and remain aligned across IT functions.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership and communication of the Network Security technology strategy and vision
- Defining and maintaining 3-5 year roadmaps for Network Security which support overarching organisational goals
- Develop and maintain secure network architecture frameworks aligned with business and security requirements
- Design and oversee implementation of security controls across LAN, WAN, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance network security
- Define and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT, Security and business stakeholders to align security architecture with enterprise goals
- Lead risk assessments and threat modeling exercises for network infrastructure
- Oversee deployment of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security tools
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST)
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers
- Participate in incident response and forensic investigations as needed
Personal Profile:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in network security, with at least 3 years in an architecture role
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols
- Expertise in security technologies: firewalls, VPNs, proxies, IDS/IPS, NAC, SIEM
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud networks
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and SASE frameworks
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CCIE Security, AWS/Azure Security)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with automation and scripting
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security
