Job Purpose

Burberry is looking for a talented Sourcing Manager to join the Supply Chain Central Operations team. In this position you will lead the seasonal placement and delivery of production across our supply base, ensuring alignment with Burberry’s calendar, margin and quality expectations. You will play a pivotal part in shaping how our products come to life, balancing commercial performance with craft, integrity and long‑term partnerships. Working closely with Product Development, Planning and global sourcing teams, you will help ensure our collections are delivered with precision and purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Lead seasonal sourcing and production placement in line with agreed calendars, unit plans and margin targets, partnering with Planning to align mainline and replenishment forecasts.
  • Build, develop and balance the vendor base, including new vendor onboarding and counter‑sourcing strategies in collaboration with global sourcing offices.
  • Partner closely with Product Development to shape sourcing strategies that reflect product intent, complexity and delivery requirements each season.
  • Analyse pre‑buy versus actuals, working with Raw Materials teams to identify risks, shortfalls and opportunities across the division.
  • Provide seasonal production forecasts to Logistics to support capacity planning and smooth flow into distribution centres.
  • Own the accuracy and integrity of final range, pricing and production data across SAP and PLM.
  • Lead final price negotiations and margin delivery, supported by clear seasonal cost and vendor performance analysis.
  • Monitor on‑time, in‑full delivery and quality performance, partnering with Technical Services, Quality and sourcing offices to resolve issues and ensure compliance with fit and production milestones.

  • Proven experience in sourcing or production management within a complex, multi‑vendor environment.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to negotiate cost and value across regions and categories.
  • Confident working across functions, building trusted relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable managing change and making informed decisions in a fast‑moving seasonal environment.
  • Detail‑focused and organised, with a clear sense of ownership and follow‑through.
  • Open to travel where required and motivated by working within a global, collaborative team.
