Job Description: Housekeeping Assistant – Bank
Location: Chilton Meadows Care Home, Stowmarket IP14 1HL
Salary: £13.30 -£14.30 per hour depending on experience
Contract: Bank
Hours: Shift times are 8am - 4pm (Can be flexible if needed)
Working days to include some weekends
Chilton Meadows offers residential, nursing and dementia care. It also offers a space for people to rest, relax and recover after an operation or illness with short stays too. It's a bright, spacious home, situated in a rural location on the edge of the historic market town of Stowmarket, where staff take great care to focus on the person. It’s important for residents to feel at home, so they create a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence. Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at Chilton Meadows, staff discuss personal preferences and dietary needs with them. There’s a real sense of community at Chilton Meadows. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether the resident already has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in.

You’ll help us make health happen by:
- You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff
- Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident’s bedrooms
- You’ll maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking and where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.
