About Manor Court Care Home: A purpose-built residential care home, Manor Court offers a range of tailored care options for short or long term needs. Care is provided to people living with dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington's disease and also to the young physically disabled. Palliative care is also available. The home consists of four separate houses each offering comfortable accommodation with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Landscaped gardens complete with furnished patio areas, raised flower beds and two sensory gardens provide an ideal setting to relax or socialise. The home also offers a double room, ideal for couples.
Manor Court recognises the importance of healthy and nutritious food. The in-house chef has created a range of seasonal menus to ensure residents receive a balanced diet. A hot and cold option is always made available so that all tastes are catered for. Residents are encouraged to take part in daily activities such as film nights, exercise sessions and coffee mornings to socialise and get to know staff and other residents.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
- Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
- Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
- Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines
- Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You want to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home. You’ll understand the importance of maintaining high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. Working with the wider kitchen and care home teams - you’re comfortable communicating with others, cherishing the little moments with our residents.
