Contract: Permanent - Full & Part Time

Shifts:

  • Day Shifts: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Morning Shifts: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Night Shifts: 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
  • Weekends: On a rotating schedule

You can count on a thorough induction when you start to help you settle into your new role followed by ongoing training and development including access to apprenticeships. You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Assisting residents with a high standard of clinical, social and emotional care.
  • Recognising and meeting the specific needs of residents.
  • Answering emergency bells or calls from residents, assessing the situation, dealing with residents seeking help and summoning the senior care staff whenever necessary.
  • Assisting residents who need help with the activities of daily living; including meal preparation, washing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene as documented in their care plan.
  • Helping residents with mobility problems, including transferring residents using appropriate equipment and other physical disabilities, helping with use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
  • Being part of a team supporting the senior care assistant in monitoring our residents and reporting changes.
  • Communicating with residents’ families, friends and other healthcare professionals.

Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
