Shockerwick House is an historic building that has been lovingly converted into a care facility, offering nursing and residential care, convalescence, palliative, short stays for a minimum of one week and day care. The home has a secure entry and exit system and a 24-hour call system so that residents feel safe and secure. All bedrooms have their own TV and telephone. Special diets are catered for and the home has magnificent, oak-panelled dining rooms. Hot and cold options are included and snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and night.
You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By:
- Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home
- Taking responsibility for managing new enquiries
- Providing advice and support both face to face and over the phone
- Conducting show-arounds within the care home
- Supporting the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties such as maintaining paperwork and filing
- Dealing with enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring daily and weekly tasks are completed
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role:
- You’ve worked as a receptionist before with experience in providing excellent customer service
- You’ll have a friendly manner both face to face and over the phone
- You’re approachable and organised and can build strong relationships with our residents, their families and internal teams
- Dedicated and efficient with an ability to handle a varied workload
- Your caring attitude underpins everything you do - to make a real difference to people’s lives
