Location: Richmond Village Painswick, Stroud Road, GL6 6UL
Salary: £14.40 per hour & Excellent Benefits
Contract: Permanent - Full Time
Shift: 10-8pm / 12-8pm & 7-3pm Alternate Weekends – NO SPLIT SHIFTS
Responsibilities
- Catering to residents across the Village which comprises of the care home
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations
- Respond to residents, villagers and Wellness Spa clients’ dietary needs in respect of the menu
- Involve in the preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate as required
- Ensure all food is used within the prescribed period, especially perishable (high risk) goods
- Maintain a welcoming, safe and compliant dining environment for residents
- Help maintain a clean and hygienic working area
Key Skills / Qualifications
Passionate about food, with experience in a professional kitchen, ideally catering for customers with special dietary requirements. Understanding of health and safety procedures, ideally holding an NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds and CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or equivalent. Innovative yet organised approach to cooking, adhering to high standards and remaining calm during a busy service. Teamwork is essential to delivering an excellent dining experience.
Because we care for vulnerable people, a DBS check will be undertaken (cost covered by Bupa).
