How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Support customers and healthcare providers with treatment authorisations, eligibility queries and benefit explanations.
- Assess requests against policy terms and ensure customers are directed to the most appropriate treatment pathway.
- Manage clinically complex cases and provide support to colleagues across the business.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure all activity complies with data protection and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential concerns, incidents or risks and escalate appropriately.
- Help improve customer outcomes by identifying suitable treatment options and pathways.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share knowledge and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. NMC) as a Registered General Nurse is essential.
- An oncology background is also essential.
- Previous clinical case management experience is desirable.
- The ability to work independently within your scope of practice, using sound judgement and empathy.
- Strong communication skills – you’ll be comfortable handling sensitive conversations with compassion and clarity.
- Confidence using multiple systems and tools at once – you’ll be talking and typing at the same time.
- A calm, resilient approach – especially when supporting vulnerable or anxious customers.
- A problem-solving mindset – you’ll think analytically to find the best outcomes for our customers.
- Previous contact centre experience is desirable, but not essential.
