Shift: Shifts 7am-3pm & 10am-6.30pm 5 days from 7 - NO SPLIT SHIFTS

Richmond Village Willaston is looking to appoint a Chef De Partie to join their team. The role of Chef De Partie in this luxury retirement village is a blend of culinary skill and lifestyle balance. With a roster planned and sociable shifts, you will enjoy a work-life balance while showcasing your talents supporting the Head Chef’s vision and responsibilities. This role also serves as a stepping stone for aspiring chefs aiming to progress.

You will be aware of residents’ food allergen and dietary requirements and have experience in providing modified foods & preparation of modified diets including puréed, soft, and texture-adapted meals for residents with specific health needs, whilst maintaining food quality and presentation to that of a luxury experience.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Preparing modified diets including puréed, soft, and texture-adapted meals for residents with specific health needs.
  • Cooking and preparing food in accordance with food hygiene regulations and safety standards.
  • Participating in the preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate, as required.
  • Ensuring all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention to perishable (high-risk) goods.
  • Supporting a welcoming and dignified dining experience for all residents.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds qualification in Professional Cookery.
  • CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or equivalent certification.
  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver excellent dining experiences.

Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
