The Role
To manage operational facilities and develop all aspects of the transport function, in line with legal requirements and company standards of performance, provide support to Operations manager and carry out duties and tasks relevant to the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operations manager with ensuring all customer orders are picked, packed and delivered to customers in a timely manner.
- Ensure Operations customer facing activity is delivered to a high standard.
- Ensure all vehicle inspections, tax, MOT and maintenance are up to date and in line with legal requirements.
- Ensure the process for route planning and vehicle loading is appropriate and suggest improvements where possible.
- Support the recruitment and induction of new starters.
- Ad hoc cover for drivers.
