Senior Software Engineer – (C#/Backend) We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Software Engineer – Backend to join our team. In this role, you’ll work on developing and scaling core systems that power critical functionalities like Authentication and Billing . You will also take ownership of long-term strategic goals, such as improving abuse prevention , scaling and optimizing billing systems , extracting billing into a standalone service , and making APIs more resilient to failures . This position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by solving complex challenges and contributing to the robustness and scalability of our platform. What will you do? Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. Implement and optimize authentication and billing workflows. Write comprehensive tests, including integration tests, to ensure high-quality code. Integrate 3rd-party APIs to enhance system functionality. Build and refine mechanisms to prevent abuse across the platform. Scale and improve billing systems for performance and accuracy. Transition billing functionality into a standalone service for modularity. Improve API resiliency to ensure high availability. What will you add? Strong experience in backend development using C# and .NET . Proficiency with background processing/queueing systems such as RabbitMQ . Hands-on experience with databases like Clickhouse/InfluxDB and MariaDB . Proficiency in integration testing to ensure robust system interactions. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions . Experience with secure authentication workflows, including protocols like OAuth2 and OpenID Connect, and token-based authentication (e.g., JWT). Proven experience in designing and implementing secure systems to protect sensitive customer data, including encryption of data at rest and in transit. A proactive approach to solving complex problems, focusing on performance and scalability. Independence in managing tasks, paired with excellent collaboration and communication skills. What will make us extra happy? Previous experience with billing or payment systems . Expertise in building and optimizing scalable, resilient distributed systems. Familiarity with Kubernetes and Prometheus for container orchestration and monitoring. Redis knowledge for caching and performance optimization. Experience with .NET Framework. Willingness to drive initiatives to upgrade to newer .NET versions. A proven track record of implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
