We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Room Leader looking to join a well-established family-run nursery and progress, in time, into a Deputy Manager role. It is essential that you have your own transport (car driver ideal) due to the remote location of the nursery. Please note this role is 80% room based and 20% office/admin tasks.

The role of the Room Leader & Deputy Manager requires enthusiasm, motivation and good leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and caring childcare professional looking to develop their career in a busy and varied role. In addition to managing the day-to-day running of the over 2's room (Rabbits/Preschool), you will help support the Manager in the effective management of the Nursery as needed.

You will perform an important role in maintaining a high quality, stimulating environment, supervising staff and imparting your skills and knowledge to others. You will ensure that children's individual needs are being met and kept safe by overseeing both Bunnies and Rabbits rooms.

Located in an idyllic setting, just a short drive from Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough, Bunny Runny Nursery and Preschool is a long-established 60 place nursery offering excellent care in a home from home environment. With the children at the heart of everything we do, we are supporting their journey further through the curiosity approach and operating our own Forest School initiative.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Solid experience working in an early years setting.
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare.
  • A strong ability to multitask alongside excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of early years.
  • Excellent leadership and people skills.
  • To be passionate about childcare and possess a desire to make every child's journey through nursery to be world class.
  • An interest and experience of the Curiosity approach and/or Forest School will also be an advantage. However, training can be provided.
