We are seeking a talented QA Engineer to join our Backend team at bunny.net. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our globally distributed, high-performing video streaming and encoding platform. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test plans, automating testing processes, and validating our platform's performance with a particular focus on video streaming protocols, encoding standards, and content delivery.

What will you do?

  • Design and Implement Test Plans: Develop and execute detailed test plans that cover all aspects of our Stream services, ensuring high-quality, reliable releases.
  • Automation Framework Development: Build and maintain automation testing frameworks specifically tailored for streaming, integrating it into the SDLC.
  • End-to-End Testing: Perform end-to-end testing of streaming workflows and media subsystems (encoding, storage, ingestion, and delivery) to ensure they function flawlessly under various scenarios and loads.
  • API and Scripting Validation: Validate APIs ensuring they perform correctly and securely across different edge locations.
  • AI Component Integration Testing: Test the integration and optimization of AI components within the streaming services.
  • Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that new code deployments do not introduce regressions or performance issues.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify potential risks and create comprehensive test strategies.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and manage defects, ensuring they are resolved before they impact end users.

What will you add?

  • QA Experience: 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer.
  • Automation Expertise: Proficiency in building and maintaining automation test suites.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in one of the following languages: TypeScript, Python, C#, or related, to create and manage automated tests.
  • API Testing Proficiency: Extensive experience in API testing using frameworks such as RestAssured, Playwright, or similar.
  • CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating testing processes into CI/CD pipelines, facilitating continuous deployment and rapid iteration.
  • Agile Environment Experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, with experience contributing to fast-paced, iterative development cycles.
