We are recruiting for an Operations Assistant vacancy on behalf of one of our top client companies. They are an extremely highly regarded and long-established Lloyds Syndicate and re/insurer. This is an extremely broad and analytical Global role, requiring excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, in a growing operations team. Key responsibilities:
- Performing day-to-day responsibilities which may include: processing premium, premium adjustments, commissions and claim payments in their accounting systems based on portfolio, Cash Management, Submission, Exports and Underwriting Support.
- Supporting development, implementation and documentation of processes and controls for efficient handling of portfolio of responsibilities.
- Assisting with development and oversight of metrics and KPIs ensuring they align to the goals of the team.
- Helping to support Claims, Reserving, Underwriting and Finance departments.
- External communication with Brokers.
- Support for adherence to contract certainty.
- Assist with implementation and execution of special/ad hoc projects within the Operations Department.
- Provide support to the broader Operations team to help ensure smooth and efficient monthly and quarterly closes.
- Assist with requests from both Internal and External Auditors.
- Ensuring SOX compliance for Operations processes.
- Ensure all responsibilities are carried out with a high degree of quality, in a timely manner.
Required experience:
- 1-4 years experience gained in a London Insurance Market operational role from any discipline, i.e. Underwriting or Claims Support, gained in a Re/Insurer or Brokers.
- A good level of education.
- Ideally CII qualified or keen to study for.
- Must be a collaborative team player, with good communication and analysis/problem-solving skills.
