About the role
Bunge is looking for an experienced and motivated accountant to join our Eastwood finance team on a permanent capacity. This varied role provides exposure to management, financial and tax accounting allowing you to enhance your existing skills and further develop your career. Reporting to the Sr Manager Controlling, you will assist stakeholders across the business to understand financial performance and make business decisions. Key tasks include month-end accounting processes and reconciliations as well as variance analysis and internal reporting. The role is also involved in external reporting requirements including statutory reporting. All team members are encouraged to identify and implement improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of finance processes.
Duties
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis.
- Perform GL and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance and supporting documentation.
- Support budgeting, accruals and financial analysis to ensure data accuracy and insights.
- Assist with intercompany transactions, audits and adherence to SOX/internal controls.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements.
- Assist with statutory reporting for Bunge and its controlled subsidiaries.
About you
- Degree in accountancy.
- Membership (or studying towards) of Institute of Chartered Accountants or CPA.
- High competency in Microsoft Excel.
- A basic understanding of the application of IFRS accounting standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in large accounting firm or commercial management accounting role, is desirable.
